Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-08-22

This document explains how Backgammon Clash collects, uses, and protects your information.

1. Information We Collect

When you play Backgammon Clash we collect: (a) account identifiers — a randomly generated username and, if you sign in with a supported social provider, the email address that provider returns to us; (b) gameplay data — the moves you make on the board, the dice rolls the server generates for your match, your doubling-cube decisions, match and game scores, and in-app currency balances; (c) device data — device identifier, operating system version, app version, language, and approximate region derived from your IP; (d) advertising identifiers — the device-level advertising ID your operating system makes available, used to show and measure ads; on iOS we request no tracking permission, so this identifier is zeroed, while on Android it is available to our ad providers; (e) crash and diagnostic data — non-personal stack traces and breadcrumbs we use to fix bugs.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the data above to: run matches and matchmaking, prevent cheating, keep your inventory and currency in sync across devices, show ads (including rewarded ads that grant in-game items), process in-app purchases, send push notifications you opt into, and improve the game with aggregate analytics. We do not sell your personal information for money; see Section 3 for how advertising identifiers are shared.

3. Sharing With Third Parties

We share limited data with service providers in the following categories so the app can function: identity providers for social sign-in, push-notification delivery, crash and diagnostic reporting, advertising networks, cloud hosting and database services, and payment-receipt verification. Each provider receives only the minimum data needed for its function. Our advertising partner also receives an account identifier we send with rewarded ads, on both platforms, so the reward you earned can be credited back to your account. On Android your device advertising ID is sent with ad requests; we request non-personalized ads from Google AdMob. Depending on where you live, sharing it with an ad network may still count as a “sale” or “share” of personal information, and you can limit it in your device settings.

4. Children

Backgammon Clash is not directed at children under 13 (or under the age of digital consent in your country). If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us via the in-app Contact Us form and we will delete it.

5. Your Rights

You can request a copy of your data, correct it, or have your account permanently deleted by tapping Delete Account in Settings or by reaching us through Contact Us. Account deletion is irreversible: your username, match history, and inventory are permanently removed within 30 days.

6. Security

Authentication tokens are stored on the device using the operating system's secure storage. Traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted with HTTPS. No system is perfectly secure, so we maintain incident-response procedures and will notify affected users in line with applicable law if a breach occurs.

7. Changes to This Policy

We will update the "Last updated" date above when this policy changes materially. Significant changes will be highlighted in-app at next launch. Continued use of Backgammon Clash after a change indicates acceptance.

8. Contact

Use the Contact Us form in Settings to reach our support and privacy team. We respond inside the app.
